A commitment to the MR world: using our heritage to drive your future

It’s 100 years since Market Research emerged as a formally recognised discipline – and the industry has never stood still. Demands from clients for ever more timely and accurate insight have fuelled changes in every facet of MR, and technology and methodologies have evolved to meet those demands. The challenges faced by the world today will only accelerate the requirement for agility, flexibility, and speed in the insight that research professionals deliver.

Confirmit has been a part of the MR world for almost 25 years. In that time, we have supported the largest research businesses in the world on huge, multi-region projects that were inconceivable in the past. We’ve also worked with the newest, most nimble and niche insight boutiques who have a laser focus on delivering to incredibly specific requirements. And we’ve always been proud to do both.

Our heritage is something we’re very proud of, but we need to look to the future. Early in the year, we announced that Confirmit had been acquired by high-growth, private equity firm Verdane, and our subsequent merger with data visualisation specialists, Dapresy. This, I believe, puts us in a unique position to help re-ignite the market research industry.

The challenges of 2020 have impacted MR businesses around the world. The pace of change to try to pivot, manoeuvre and in some cases, just plain scramble to re-organise businesses has been frenetic. However, the two biggest hurdles remain the same as they have been for many years; the need to meet clients’ needs faster than ever, and the requirement to reduce costs.

The conversations I have had with our customers in my time at Confirmit so far have made it clear that this is where our focus must lie. We need to use our experience and expertise to help our clients deliver agile, automated research programmes that leave them free to focus on providing guidance and expertise.

So, what are we doing?

We have reconfigured our R&D team to focus on the areas that matter most to you. We are investing heavily in data collection, in SmartHub, our data integration platform, and in our reporting suites. The Dapresy merger means you will see some outstanding new data visualisation tools that will make it quicker and easier for you to deliver insights to your clients in a form that works for them – and which require much less work from your teams.

To provide maximum flexibility to our customers, we are also doubling-down on our open API strategy, so you can bring in data from any source to enrich the insight you deliver to your clients and ensure you maximise the value you offer them. You are the experts in what your clients need, my goal is to make sure you meet those needs as efficiently and effectively as possible.

Finally, we will have an open and ongoing dialogue with the research industry. We are listening and we are ready to ensure we deliver on our promises. Our goal is to enable every one of our clients to create insights so compelling that change is inevitable.

Our Commitment to You

I want to take this opportunity to make a clear commitment to the MR industry. We are here to make your lives easier. Our mission is to make the complex simple, so you can turn insight into stories that fuel action.

We will be your partner. We make great technology, but our goal is bigger than being just a software supplier. We aim to become an extension of your team, using the power of our platform to help you break down barriers, implement solutions, and deliver on the promise.

Despite everything happening in the world right now, I am excited about the future. The past 25 years were just the start – there’s a lot more to come. We are ready to help you take the next step; and to keep you one step ahead.
